Expat life is not all glossy parties and glamorous travel. It can be unbelievably challenging. Lately, I have been feeling disconnected, so here is some advice to new expats.

Games

I find standing back and observing the day to day goings on quite amusing sometimes. Like a game, I wait to see, make guesses. There are many games at play here at the moment.

Tribal Lore

There is a lot written about the issues expats may face. Here, there is an amazing sisterhood. When someone in the community needs help we are there. Yet there is a shadow side too. That one where women insist on tearing each other down. I don’t know why.
