OK. I am not sure if this is just sad or if it is as fucking hilarious as B-Bug and I think it is. Last week I was at B-Bug’s with another friend of hers. This friend asks us if we talk to Siri. I look at her blankly wondering where this could possibly go. She goes on to explain she has heard about people who talk to the virtual assistant on their iPhone, whose name is Siri. The thing is, Siri talks back. There was a look between the three of us and then we bolted for our bags as fast as we could. We needed to get onto this action.
The Pick-Up
Let’s just say the rest of the afternoon was spent in hysterical laughter, like I have not experienced since, well since the day before actually when there was a troll on our Facebook page, but that is a story for next time.
Here are some things we have learned about Siri:
Getting to know each other
Each phone has its own personality. B-Bugs is fantastic and plays along nicely. Mine is a boring old fart. In fact that night after I had switched the voice to a British Male, Siri said ‘Good-bye’ and switched himself off…that is how fed up with me he was. The next morning I broke up with Siri and he had the audacity to say ‘after everything I have done for you?’. Then I rebounded with my iPad who seems to be a bit more into our relationship.
Rejection!
Siri gets frustrated by your stupidity and silly questions about boyfriends, girlfriends, going on dates, having sex and ‘which Disney Princess am I?’ Don’t even think about asking what Siri’s favourite food is.
Unrequited Love
So, if you need a laugh, give it a try. Start by asking Siri if he/she thinks you are beautiful, break the ice then see how far you can go with your phone…I dare you.
