A Day in Tagaytay
Friends took us for a tour of Tagaytay. It was such a wonderful day. What a beautiful place to visit.
As an expat in the Philippines, one of my goals is to explore as much of this country as I possibly can before we leave. You see expat life is transient and one day we will be moving on. I like to share my travel stories with readers to encourage them to explore, step out of their comfort zone and become more familiar with the culture, the people and the land they are guests of.

It was a busy few weeks. We went to a museum, found great places to eat, there were gardens involved and we went back to Hidden Valley Springs.
When I was a child I used to write letters a lot. I adored checking the mailbox and finding a handwritten letter addressed to me. Well, I don’t handwrite so much these days, but recently I reconnected with my Gran through letter writing, and it is so wonderful.
I remember when we left our home for our new life.
It has been a busy week. Noodles has been at the vet for his checkup, I’ve been back to the post office and we discovered some new night markets. Along the way we found awesome icecream and got caught in a torrential rain downpoor.
This post has it all. Images from our surroundings, eating out, going to a park, finding new exciting eats and dealing with the postal service, well okay, that experience will be for the next post…
Feeling good about life again it was time to venture out. We went to a kids museum, an amazing night market and I introduced SB to my favourite restaurant.
I took the children to The Fun Farm in Laguna. This is a lovely day out but be sure to pack food and water. The kids get to feed rabbits and guinea pigs, go fishing and ride horses and get a caribou cart ride.
We took a day trip to Hidden Valley Springs in Laguna. Wow, just wow. It is so stunning and just the break we needed to take a breath from the madness of life right now.
I am a glutton and proud of it.
