Journey Back Home Part 2
Returning to your childhood home is always special. Ghosts of the past still roam the hallways.
As an expat in the Philippines, one of my goals is to explore as much of this country as I possibly can before we leave. You see expat life is transient and one day we will be moving on. I like to share my travel stories with readers to encourage them to explore, step out of their comfort zone and become more familiar with the culture, the people and the land they are guests of.

I took the children back to my family home for a short break before we moved overseas.
It took me a while to realise the children needed me to just stop. They needed a break from the chaos of packing up the house. They needed time to adjust.
It was time to get our injections. This was not a fun experience and I felt like the worst mother in the universe.
Learning to let go is such a difficult thing to do. You really have to face yourself honestly.
Our scoping trip to Manila was an interesting time for me.
