It is Easter and most of Manila shuts down during these few days. It is a good time for reflection and just taking some time out to catch our breath.

This second week in our new home has been so hard. I feel isolated, lonely and uncertain. At the end though, I still manage to find some sparkles of light, which bring me hope that things will get better.

It isn’t just the constant busy-ness making us exhausted. This place is sensory overload. You just don’t get a break from it. It will take time to adjust. The first week has been filled with enough activity for a month and despite the exhaustion, we are loving it.

It’s our last few days before we move overseas. We are excited, exhausted and doing last minute visits to our favourite places, to say our last goodbye’s.
I am Sarah, I was an Australian living in the Philippines with my family. Now we are back in Perth, Western Australia. I write about local and budget travel, lifestyle and the bits inbetween. I hope to encourage readers to get out and discover their 'place'.
